Visible and audible
Each Safety Signal ECU supports up to four RGBW lights and two speakers, bringing visual and audio signaling together in one dedicated controller.
Let’s talk Audio & visual signaling
A ruggedized ECU for audio and visual signaling around autonomous vehicles, supporting up to four RGBW lights and two speakers per unit.
Preliminary specifications · Rev 0.1
Give people around autonomous vehicles visible and audible signals. Add ECUs as the installation grows, with timing synchronized between units and one rugged connector per ECU for simpler harness design.
Each Safety Signal ECU supports up to four RGBW lights and two speakers, bringing visual and audio signaling together in one dedicated controller.
Install multiple Safety Signal ECUs on the same vehicle to expand light and speaker capacity. The ECUs synchronize their timing with one another.
A single rugged connector simplifies the ECU's harness interface. The ruggedized enclosure has AGEO-specified IP66 protection and a -40 to +105 °C temperature range.
Add synchronized ECUs to expand the supported light and speaker capacity.
Capacity examples are calculated from the per-ECU limits. Supported ECU counts, electrical load limits and synchronization tolerances should be confirmed for the intended installation.
The Safety Signal ECU is designed to help machine OEMs implement audio and visual signaling requirements from applicable standards, including ISO 18497 for agricultural machinery.
Compliance is evaluated for the complete machine and its installed signaling system. The OEM defines the signaling behavior and verifies the installation for its intended operating environment.
A single rugged connector provides the ECU's external harness interface, keeping the vehicle connection concentrated at one point.
Single external ECU connection for simplified harness design.
